E-mail
ConsolQ has an
integrated email system that permits the following email
transactions:
1. ConsolQ can
email a Custom Form, a Service Note or a file to any email address
including another ConsolQ system.
2. ConsolQ can
receive emails

In order for
ConsolQ to send and receive emails you need to install the email
server and configure it.

To send an email from ConsolQ
Create a call and choose a task
You can email a service note or an attached file
simply by choosing the email box beside the item
You can create a new service note and email it.
You can email a custom form. Simply select the custom
form and then 'Email this document'.
Email Transfer.
Select Recipient.
The default single email address is the client linked to the call,
assuming a valid email address is configured in client details.
Email
groups can be created by clicking on the Clients
button in the top menu, then Configure/Edit Email Groups. A group
can consist of one or more addresses. Configure your common
email recipients as groups.
To
add users to the notification list, click on
the “Add New” link.
If you have a
pre-defined group, you can select this using the select group option
and clicking on “Submit”
If you would like to
create a new group, enter the name of the group you wish to add and
then click on “Add”.
Alternatively you
can select a single user out of the address book by entering part or
all of their details into the search fields.

your group will be shown:
You can edit members
of your group by clicking on the “Edit” button next to each member
of the group.
To add a member to
your group, use the “Search address book” option to search for
someone in the email system (eg. Groupwise) list or manually add
them using the “Add member” option.
Once you are happy
with your group, select the “Add group to change” to add the group
to the change notification list for that change. You will be
returned to the change summary screen. If you wish to bail out
without adding a group, click on the “Back to Change” link.
The call screen
has summary information regarding email transfers. For more detail
go to Audit trail.
The call
screen will show a summary of all outgoing and incoming
communications as well as tasks etc.
Receiving
emails
When ConsolQ has
received an email an email icon will appear in the left hand menu
box at the top of the screen.
Clicking on the icon takes you to a general email review list.
The Red dot
deletes an email. If you wish to log one of these messages as a
call simply check the "Generate new call" box, enter a service note,
existing call ID if known and click SUBMIT. Caller will be created
automatically based on the email address. Once the call has been
created you can edit caller details as required by clicking on the
client link. The incoming email subject and text will populate the
primary service note information. Add a subject, tasks etc as
necessary.
