ConsolQ version 4.0
Interface
v4.0 has an obviously different interface. There is a new menu structure,
consisting of a fixed left hand side menu and top tab menus on some pages.
The total number of pages has been reduced significantly for a much simpler
user experience.
email
v4.0 no longer requires a separate email client to be installed as the email
server now resides within the web application. While not intended to be a
full email
client there are more useful email functions such as reply and forward.
There are two options for auto-text inclusion
in emails.
A standard message can be added in ConsolQ
settings for the text of each 'reply' email. Eg. "Thank you for your
email - we have logged a call and will get back to you"
Also a signature block text is configurable
for all emails...again in ConsolQ Settings
Security
v4.0 no longer uses a range of privilege levels for restricting
functionality to different users. v4.0 now links privileges to group
membership (see groups)
Groups
Group Management (Control Panel) is a powerful linking facility which can
create groups of any configuration item eg. Team Members, Clients, Assets. It
allows you to create groups for bulk email sends, groups within the ConsolQ
team and more.
Progress titles are also added to Group Calls
and My Group Calls
Config items
v4.0 now features extensive user configuration of the data base. ConsolQ
users now can create almost any data type they wish and create parent -
child links as necessary.
Where am I (replaces whereabouts)
Where am I - is now linked to Group membership.
Call macros
Macro management (Control Panel) is a new feature that allow
pre-configuration of call contents and multiple tasks to reduce retyping for
commonly used calls.
New Call
A client/customer does not now need to be allocated to a call - will default
to person taking the call. Also calls or tasks can be allocated to an
individual team member or to a group.
Home screen
A new home screen for each user provides more direct access to information
of interest to the team member. You can also view the home page of another
user.
Find
Now all search tools are aggregated under a single menu item. This includes
ConsolQ Help, a much more user friendly and flexible report engine and some
quick search boxes to find calls or tasks.
Delete calls
Administrator user will get this option on every call.
Back date
Administrator can change call date.
Reports
More configurable reports added, you can now save custom queries for use
next time and also save output as Excel files.
Custom Forms
Preview Function has been added
Scanning
Integrated Twain Device capture is now incorporated. You can operate
the Twain device from ConsolQ.
Documents
You can now add a document/file description to email attachments. A
document search function is now available in the Find menu
